Ariana Boucher, PT, DPT


Ariana recently received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. Having completed an internship with Avila in 2017, Ariana was comfortable with the environment, worked well with the team and believed it was the best place to start her career. Her interest and experience in women’s health physical therapy makes her a valuable asset to the Avila team.

While still in school, and in preparation for her internship and career in Pelvic Health, she pursued pelvic health Level 1 and 2 courses through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Ariana is currently pursuing her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC).

Ariana has been a member of APTA’s Section for Women’s health for 2 years, and continues to actively educate her community on Women’s Health issues. Ariana has a special interest in prenatal post-partum conditions, spine pathologies, chronic pelvic pain, sexual health and bowel/bladder pathologies associated with the pelvic floor.She strives to provide the best care possible, with evidence-based practice, and she cannot wait to continue practicing her passion at Avila where she is now accepting new patients.

Ariana believes physical therapy services should be available to all populations, and has a strong commitment to our community, and to providing physical therapy services to rural underserved populations. She has been a volunteer coordinator and a board member of ECU’s first Physical Therapy Student Run Clinic that provided free physical therapy services to the surrounding areas. She has also volunteered for two summers, as a participant and a trip leader, with ECU’s Physical Therapy service mission to the Dominican Republic. During these service missions she provided much needed physical therapy services to the people of La Romana bringing medical supplies, physical therapy supplies, and updated presentations on the current methods of physical therapy. Ariana lives in Greenville with her husband and two dogs. She loves to be outside, playing with her dogs, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
